This year marks a big milestone: our St. Stephen, South Carolina facility turns 25! Built back in 2001, this site has grown into a key part of the Acutec manufacturing network, supporting our mission-critical, high-accuracy production for customers nationwide.
And we’re not just celebrating the past, we’re investing in the future. Acutec is significantly expanding the St. Stephen facility’s Swiss-turning capability this year, growing its role as a center for high-precision Swiss CNC manufacturing. This investment comes in response to rising customer demand for tight-tolerance, small-diameter components, and it reinforces our long-term commitment to St. Stephen and the team there.
CEO Elisabeth Smith shared:
“This facility has become an essential part of how we serve our customers, and expanding our Swiss-turning capability here is a natural next step. It’s an investment in the people who have helped build this location into what it is today, and in the growth we know is ahead of us.”
Scott Alward, Plant Manager of the St. Stephen facility, put it well:

St. Stephen is one of three Acutec facilities, alongside Meadville and Saegertown, PA — all AS9100D certified, with NADCAP accreditation and ITAR registration.
