Team Acutec swapped the shop floor for the summit floor this week at the Pennsylvania Defense & Innovation Summit, hosted by Senator Dave McCormick at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, PA. Our President and CEO, Elisabeth Smith, and Government and Defense Business Development Manager, Maria Dreese, represented Acutec as a vendor on the Defense Expo floor, connecting directly with prime contractors and procurement leaders shaping America’s defense industrial base.
The two-day Summit drew a heavyweight lineup, including President Trump, Lockheed Martin’s Jim Taiclet, Northrop Grumman’s Kathy Warden, General Dynamics’ Phebe Novakovic, and Palantir’s Mike Gallagher and Shyam Sankar, alongside senior Department of War and military officials.
Standing on that floor among the primes and emerging defense-tech companies was a strong reminder that Pennsylvania’s precision manufacturers are a critical link in the supply chains powering national defense. Elisabeth and Maria came away with new connections and a sharper read on where the industry is headed.
Proud to be #MadeInPA and proud to stand with the companies powering America’s defense industrial base.
