Hunters across Northwestern Pennsylvania, get ready to rack up the excitement because the anticipated Big Buck Contest is back and bigger than ever! Running from November 29th to December 13th, this year’s event promises thrilling competition, community celebration, and a chance to immortalize your trophy buck.
🎯 Four Divisions, Four Champions
The contest is open to all licensed hunters in the region, with four competitive divisions:
- Youth Division: Junior license holders (archery or rifle)
- Female Division
- Male Division
- Archery Division
Each division winner will receive a free mount of their winning buck, courtesy of Acutec and Heagy Taxidermy!
🗓️ How to Enter
To participate, hunters must bring their 2025 legally harvested buck (either antlers or the full animal with antlers attached) to Acutec Headquarters on one of the following Saturdays:
- November 29
- December 6
- December 13
Entries are accepted between 6–8 PM. During these events, racks will be measured, photos snapped, and stories shared. Attendees can enjoy food, prizes, and the camaraderie of fellow hunters while admiring the impressive harvests from across the Crawford, Mercer, Venango, Erie, and Warren counties.
📜 Rules & Eligibility
- Bucks must be legally harvested in Pennsylvania’s 2025 hunting season
- Contest is valid only for entries from the five NWPA counties listed above
