Acutec Seeks Skilled Third-Shift Machinist to Meet Growing Production Demands

A large industrial and power generation package is ramping up, and Acutec is implementing flexible manufacturing practices to prepare and increase production capabilities to meet the growing demand. As part of the long-term agreement part order with an estimated worth of $90 million that was signed last year, the package includes fifteen different part numbers and consists of a combination of bar stock and castings to meet customer material specifications.

The industrial and power generation market is projected to grow significantly. As shown in Figure 1, by 2032, there is a projected growth rate of 100% within the power generation market. With this growth rate, advancements to current manufacturing practices are necessary. Scheduling has been improved to reduce setup time by 60% in the cell where this industrial and power generation package is manufactured, allowing for an increase in throughput. Huele tools have also been integrated to aid in the minimization of burrs on the parts that make up the package. To support these advancements, Acutec is seeking a skilled third-shift machinist who is eager to expand their knowledge, is an innovative thinker, and is excited about working in a stable, growing industry.
