Acutec Celebrates Breakthrough Girl Scouts Robotics Event: Over 110 Attendees Inspired by STEM Innovation

Meadville, PA — On Saturday, May 31, Acutec Precision Aerospace, Inc. proudly welcomed 57 Girl Scouts and 53 caregivers to its M1 Learning Center for an unforgettable STEM experience focused on robotics, automation, and career exploration.

🔧 Hands-On Learning in Action Throughout the morning, Girl Scouts rotated through immersive stations where they built simple robots, explored energy-to-motion demonstrations, and earned their Robotics badges. Our teams showcased how laser engraving works, explained dry ice reactions, and provided firsthand views of advanced industrial robots in operation.

🚀 Opening Doors to the Future We were honored to introduce Girl Scouts to modern manufacturing through our “try a trade” model, which highlighted roles beyond machining—encouraging girls to envision futures in engineering, automation, and design. Every participant received a custom Girl Scouts x Acutec patch and a lunch break filled with excitement and curiosity.

💬 A Message from Our CEO “This was about more than earning a badge,” said Elisabeth Smith, Acutec CEO and former Girl Scout. “It was about sparking confidence and creativity—and showing young girls that there is a place for them in robotics, manufacturing, and any field they choose.”

💡 Why It Mattered This free event—open to Girl Scouts from kindergarten through twelfth grade—aligned with our commitment to diversity and access in STEM. Through our collaboration with Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania, we supported young girls in discovering new interests and career paths where women remain underrepresented.

We at Acutec are proud to have played a role in preparing the next generation of trailblazers. The future of STEM looks brighter than ever—and it starts with opportunities like these.
